On the principle that a clean, orderly and beautiful work environment enhances efficiency and client satisfaction, the Davao Regional Medical Center’s (DRMC) 5S Committee has conducted the first 3S (Sort, Set in order/Straighten/Systematize and Shine/Sweep) audits last October 25, November 23 and December 13, 2019 respectively.

The 5S Committee was established to ensure that the 5S Japanese good housekeeping techniques (seiri or sort, seiton  or set in order/straighten/systematize, seiso or sweep/shine, seikitsu or standardize , and shitsuke or self-discipline/sustain) are implemented to improve efficiency in the hospital, promote service excellence and that “everyday is 5S day” will be institutionalized among its employees.
