The Davao Regional Medical Center (DRMC) conducted a Planning and Budget Deliberation (PBD), for the year 2020 started last June 13 and ended last July 12, 2019 at Conference Room B, Administrative Building.

The PBD Committee served as the panel for the presentation of the different units for their Work and Financial Plan (WFP) & Project Procurement Management Plan (PPMP) for each Fiscal Year.

With the collaborative efforts of the following members of the committee: Marvin V. Bohol, PBDC Chairperson; Kathlyn Lee F. Fuerzas, Designate Planning Officer, Karen Kate M. Lisbos, Designate Budget Officer; Rhodora M. Boiser, BAC Chairperson; Mercedita D. Panuncio, BAC Vice – Chairperson; Duenn C. Mulod, Materials Management Section (MMS) Head; Maria Victoria S. Aquino, Procurement Section Head; Division Chiefs, Secretariats and representative from major concerned units, the deliberation was conducted accordingly.

The said committee is tasked to ensure alignment and synchronize the operational plans with financial plans. Effective budgeting and expenditure management can only be realized with the necessary inputs from all DOH units, particularly through timely submission of good quality plans.

       The objectives of the deliberation are to: Formalize and increase efficiency in the planning and budget- setting process; Ensure that operational plans are aligned to DOH strategic policies and thrusts; Ensure that operational plans, work and financial plans, and budgets are synchronize, and align; and Maintain transparency in the planning and budgeting process.

Moreover, in line with the implementation of the PGS in the institution, the committee aims to achieve the highest rate of 5 which is “The organization has linked its budget to the strategy. Through this, the organization can derive provision for strategy-related expenses, while synchronizing the strategy with operating expenses and capital expenditures.” ,thus, establishing a sound public finance management.
