BUNTIS DAY CELEBRATION 2016

 buntisdayIn line with the observance of the Women’s Month, Davao Regional Medical Center celebrates the “Buntis Day” as part of the nationwide campaign on Safe Pregnancy. This activity aims at educating pregnant women on Safe Motherhood and Responsible Parenthood through lecture forum, film viewing and IEC distribution.

RABIES AWARENESS MONTH

Executive order no. 84 (eo 84) was signed on april 13, 1999 by president joseph ejercito estrada, declaring march as the rabies awareness month in country. It rationalizes the control measures for the prevention and eradication of rabies and appropriating funds thereof.

Rabies is one of the most dangerous viral disease. The virus infects the central nervous system of domestic and wild animals and spread to humans through bites, scratches and exposure to infected saliva.

NATIONAL TUBERCULOSIS PROGRAM

tuberculosis1Tuberculosis is a disease caused by a bacterium called Mycobacterium tuberculosis that is mainly acquired by inhalation of infectious droplets containing viable tubercle bacilli. Infectious droplets can be produced by sneezing, talking, singing and most especially, coughing (one which considerably is the most efficient way of producing infectious droplets).
