ANIMAL BITE TREATMENT CENTER

The DRMC Animal Bite Treatment Center (ABTC) is a special unit for the Rabies Prevention and Control Program accredited under the Department of Health.

The DRMC ABTC is located at the ground floor of the OPD building.

Clinic Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday (except holidays), 8am-5pm

Services Offered:

  1. Daily Consultation
  2. Treatment Regimen for Pre-exposrue Prohylaxis and Post-exposure Prophylaxis provided for free to Animal Bite Patients
    1. Rabies Vaccine (PVRV or PCECV)
    2. Rabies Immune Globulin (RIG) with skin testing
    3. Tetanus Vaccine
    4. Wound dressing
  3. Counselling and Health Education to Animal Bite Patients and treatment partners
  4. Referral to external facility as neededABTC Coordinators:
